BCU White Water Award Assessment (Kayak)

The BCU White Water Award Assessment in kayaking allows you to take part at river kayaking trips in moderate water (Grade 2) in a lead group. This will prove to any kayaking leader that you are proficient to paddle in those conditions. After successful completion of the assessment, you will receive a  certificate from the Scottish Canoe Association.

Description

At Unexplored Scotland, we always strive to give everyone a relaxing and enjoyable experience. This is no exception with our BCU White Water Award assessments. We will make sure to give everyone a chance to complete and pass the course.
Previous experience in kayaking on grade 2 rivers is essential and you should be comfortable to tackle any rapids and make the right safe and fun decisions.

Itinerary

9:00 am
Meet up at Dochgarroch, introductions and get ready for the water and run the shuttle.

10:00 am
Start the assessment on the River Ness.

3:00 pm
Review the assessment and work through the action plan.
