Uags bothy is very much and underrated place and is most of the time not used when we turn up on our trips to the Applecross peninsula. We have used the place several times and the camping area in front of the bothy is perfect for pitching a few tents. The views around Uags are amazing too. You can always see the Crowlin Islands and on a good day you can see as far as the Red Cuillins on Skye.
We have only ever used the bothy for a place to cook when it rains or when the midges get too bad. Like in August 2016 when the midges became a bit of a plague. The bothy has to rooms downstairs with plenty of room for several groups to socialise and even has an open fire place. It also must be the only bothy that always has plenty of firewood at the side of the house and there is also plenty of dead wood in the woods around it. We always enjoy coming back to this beautiful spot.
